Inktense monoprinting - CAS

This week I was able to shoot the video portion of a tutorial for monoprinting with Inktense Blocks on a misted embossing folder. I'm having so much fun with this technique - it's easy, and makes such unique prints, which can be used alone or as bases for more mixed media layers. I'll share samples over the next week or so! Video soon!

I took one print with a 3-inch White Art Square from Inchie Arts, and I loved the way the ink pooled and puddled on the surface, without causing a warp or buckle. After one application of the ink, this was the 3rd print I took - a little goes quite a long way! The ink is so highly pigmented.

Here's a look at the blocks in their packaging - the pigment and ink is the same as you may be familiar with in the Inktense Pencils, just in a larger block format for backgrounds and other effects. Like the pencils, the blocks can be used wet or dry, and after being activated with water, the ink is permanent when dry.

I layered the matboard square on a simple 2-panel card base, with a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and a white satin bow. Done!
